Friends,
See the message below from Ranger Dawn Coleman at Crockett Birthplace for an update on Mark Halback. As you know, he suffered extensive injuries when the vehicle he was driving skidded off the road near the park.
Thanks – Chad

Well we have great news! Mark is finally awake and complaining!! I went to see him this morning and they have moved him to a regular room (6223). He is talking and he does recognize me. He does not remember anything about the wreck but that is to be expected. His sister is here with him which has brighten his spirits I think. The medical staff tells me that he may still be in the hospital for another two weeks depending on how he does. Anyone that would like to send Mark any cards or flowers is welcome to send them to the hospital or to the park. That information is below. Thanks to everyone that has called to check on Mark and wish him well and thank you to those that have come to visit him. I know he appreciates it greatly!
