Scary Stories at the Carter Mansion!
Thursday, October 28 at 7:30 pm
Strange things happen around All Hallows Eve, especially at a 200 year-old mansion!
And this year,we are being joined by a marvelous group of storytellers!
The Homespun Storytelling Guild, featuring Marjorie Schaeffer, Sherri Hyder,
Sherry Shook, Mary Jane Kennedy, and Chad Bogart will present a tantalizing and spooky evening of stories for your listening pleasure.
For an added, exciting twist, Homespun is presently engaged in collecting local tales, legends, and spine-tingling folk-tales and stories, passed down through our Carter County families. Has your family shared a ghostly tale, a story of a strange spirit, or a recollection of an unexplained occurrence? If so, consider sharing your story with Homespun.
One of these stories will be chosen to be told at the Carter Mansion on October 28th!
Join us for tales of woe and terror, the weird and macabre, with a touch of wit thrown in for good measure.
Don’t be afraid, the graveyard at the Carter Mansion isn’t haunted…we think!
If you have a story to share, please call Chad Bogart or Sherri Hyder, at the park, at 423-543-5808.
