The Watauga Chapter of the Tennessee Society Sons of the American
Revolution
would like to invite you to attend the programs to be held 16-17 September 2011 at Sycamore Shoals State Historic Area.

On Friday 16 September 2011 at 5:00 pm in the cemetery beside the Carter
House
we will mark the graves of Col John and Capt Landon Carter as
Patriots of the Revolutionary War.

Then at 10:00 am on 17 September 2011 the Celebration of the Gathering of the
Overmountain Men at the Sycamore Shoals
will be held. The President General
of the National Society Sons of the American Revolution will be in attendance.

We would like to invite all DAR, SR,
OVTA, C.A.R. and any other historic organizations who would like to attend or
participate. There will be a wreath service at both services. The public is
invited.
