To the Washington Co. Militia,
I hope this finds everyone doing well and in good spirits. First let me thank and commend everyone for a great siege this May. I apologize for not getting back sooner, but as you can imagine things are quite hectic here at the park. I was never more pleased with our unit than at the siege. You all did an outstanding job making our guests fell welcome and providing quaility living history interpretation to our visiting public. I am so proud to be associated with you all and count myself blessed to know each of you.
I know this is short notice, but we have planned an 1812 muster at the park for this Saturday, June 16th from 10:00 – 4:00 for anyone who is interested. Next Monday is the 200th anniversary of the declaration of war. Our muster on Saturday will reflect that as we will be reading the declaration of war and performing drill and other demonstrations. We will be doing much of what we did at the Bogart Bowman Cabin back in March. If you are interested please let me know if you can come.
Thanks Again and Take Care,
