To the Washington County Miliita,
First, let me express my deepest thanks to those who attended the event at Walnut Grove this past weekend. A good time was definately had by all. I receivied so many good comments about our group while we were there. Both Captain John Moss and Scott Kilby of the SC Rangers said that they couldn’t have done it without us. Once again you all make me very proud! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
As a reminder, Unicoi Heritage Day is this Saturday (Oct 13) at the Historic Bogart-Bowman Cabin in Unicoi, TN. As mentioned before there will be no school day this Friday. Again, wear your 1812 gear if you have it! I will be going over fairly early on Friday to set up camp and help out at the cabin. All are welcome to come set up early. Remember, it is a Saturday only event but we have permission to stay until Sunday. Restroom and shower facilities will be open to us day and night. We will be doing drill, firing demos, artillery demos, and the “Witch Trial”. Lets have a good turnout and put on a good show for our friends in Unicoi.
