Becky and john Garrou and a total of nine of our members spent a warm and wonderful day at Cowpens, near Gaffney, SC, this past Saturday.
She messaged me and said “Wish you could have been with us today;we had a good time. There were eight of us there, then Will Caldwell would have made nine from the fort. It was good turn out, I think. It was a beautiful day, about like the Old Christmas Saturday.”
Becky went on to say “There were lots of people, they said more than they had had in years, maybe because it was such a beautiful day. Yes, I should send you the horse pictures too. Not as many horses as last year. (This was in response to her saying she like to see the dragoons and I asked her about them.) I laid a wreath for the Descendants of Kings Mountain, and then, they had all of the OVTA people to come up. Mark Anthony lead us, and it was quite moving. Ronnie Lail laid a wreath for the Watagua SAR. We really enjoyed the day.
Becky posted some of her and John’s pictures. Retha and Ken Reece also took some wonderful pictures too which are included here as well .
